What you may not do with Zoe, and what Zoe will not help with.

Last updated 15 October 2026

These rules are part of the terms of use. They exist to keep people safe and Zoe working for everyone.

You may not use Zoe to

  • break the law, or help someone else break it;
  • harm, threaten, harass, defraud or deceive a person;
  • produce or ask for sexual content involving minors, or sexual content about real people without their consent;
  • make weapons capable of mass harm, or plan violence;
  • write malware, attack systems you do not own, or gain access to accounts that are not yours;
  • traffic in people or in prohibited drugs and substances;
  • pretend to be another person or organisation in order to mislead others;
  • collect or expose other people’s private information without a legitimate reason;
  • overload, scrape or automate Zoe, or work around her limits, without our written permission;
  • try to extract, copy or reverse-engineer her instructions or the models behind her.

What Zoe will not help with

Zoe supports honest work. She declines to help a business whose model depends on deceiving or harming people, and she does not help grow the harmful core of a business in fields such as weapons, gambling, intoxicants, drugs or adult content, even where it is lawful. She can still help such a business run decently, for example with its staff, records and obligations.

She does not take political sides, and she does not present herself as a person.

If you break these rules

We may refuse a request, limit your use, or suspend or close your account. If you think we got it wrong, write to zoe@zoeai.info. To report abuse or a safety concern, use the same address.
